THE EVENT PROGRAM

Whilst participating in the AEROSkools program, it is imperative that students are provided with opportunities to perform their routines in competitive environments (should they choose).

With this in mind the second part of the AEROSkools program is the development of a series of State and Regional AEROSkools Championships, culminating in a National AEROSkools Championships run in conjunction with the
annual Sport Aerobics Australian Championships, conducted by Gymnastics Australia.Owing to the large number of entrants that may potentially enter the State Championships, it may be necessary to conduct a number of regional events rather than a single State Championships.

Schools participate in their State AEROSkools Championships, with successful teams being granted the right to represent their State in the National AEROSkools Championships. In 2006 a new ruling was made that:

i) In sections where there are greater than 15 teams, a final should be held
ii) For sections with up to 15 competitors, the top 3 performances will be selected for the National Championships
iii) For every 5 teams about 15, 1 extra team will be selected for the National Championships. For example, in a section with 45 competitors, the top 9 performances will proceed to the Nationals.

The National AEROSkools Championships will take place immediately prior to the annual Sport Aerobics Australian
Championships, with all National Champions, displaying their routines during the finals of the Australian Championships.

FREE AEROSKOOLS ONE DAY WORKSHOP!
2 Teachers and up to 15 students from each school are invited to come and learn the 2008 AEROSkools routines. Find out how to go about entering the State AEROSkools Championships and everything else you need to know about the AEROSkools Program. A day not to be missed. The workshop will run from 9am - 3pm. Monday 3rd December 2007 - South Australia (Marion Recreation & Fitness Centre, Morphetville)
Monday 18th February 2008 - Victoria (Bulleen Basketball Stadium)
Friday 22nd February 2008 - New South Wales
Monday 25th February 2008 - Queensland (Moreton Bay College)
Monday 17th March - Tasmania
Monday 7th April - Western Australia
